Our client is looking for an experienced B2B Business Development Manager for their Telco company located in Christchurch or is open to moving there.
About You

Minimum 3 years' experience in a sales role, ideally within B2B environments.

Proven ability in outbound sales activities such as cold calling, door-to-door prospecting, and networking.

Experience in managing inbound leads through warm calls, lead nurturing, and follow-ups.

Proficient in using CRM systems to manage pipeline and support the sales process.

Skilled in prospecting and leveraging tools to enhance outbound efforts.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a curious mindset and a genuine interest in understanding customer needs and matching them with the right solutions (including upselling where appropriate).

Self-motivated, disciplined, and capable of managing time and targets independently.
Key Responsibilities

Drive New Business: Build and manage a predominantly outbound sales pipeline, identifying high-potential opportunities and engaging businesses at key decision-making times through proactive, face-to-face market activity.

Understand & Solve Customer Needs: Develop a deep understanding of small to medium Kiwi businesses, matching them with the right telco solutions and positioning these persuasively to generate sales.

Own the Sales Process: From lead generation to deal closure, manage every stage of the sales cycle with care—building trust, delivering on commitments, and ensuring accurate documentation for a seamless customer onboarding experience.

Collaborate for Success: Work closely with Service Delivery, Account Management, Marketing, and Communications to ensure aligned messaging, smooth handovers, and fulfilment of sales promises.

Innovate & Strategise: Identify new ways to generate leads and contribute to the design and execution of territory-specific sales strategies alongside peers and leadership.

Report & Reflect: Maintain accurate records of sales activities, pipeline stages, meetings, and results to support visibility, forecasting, and performance tracking.
